MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Max Green shot 1-under-par to lead the West Virginia University golf team in the first round of the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia.
Green is tied for 14th place after 18 holes. Kaleb Wilson, Todd Duncan and Westy McCabe all shot 74 (+2) on Friday and are tied for 40th place. Carson Kammann shot a 76 for the Mountaineers.

As a team, the Mountaineers are tied for eighth place at +5 in the 14-team field.
The second round will begin Saturday morning with the third and final round scheduled for Sunday.
