West Virginia (6-13, 0-8 Big 12) faces the Cougars at 7 p.m. ET in Houston, Texas, and the Knights at noon in Orlando, Florida. Live stats vs Houston. Live stats vs UCF
The Mountaineers lost both home matches in their last outing. WVU lost to Utah, 4-2, and BYU, 4-0, to remain winless in the Big 12 Conference this season.
Despite the loss against the Utes, freshman Laura Villanueva Morillo earned her first career win in singles play. For the spring season, Villaneuva Morillo is one of five Mountaineers with at least four singles victories.
Senior Mille Haagensen and graduate student Julie Bousseau lead the Mountaineers with six singles wins. In doubles play, the pairing of Villanueva Morillo and senior Michaela Kucharova has been dominant, going 6-2 this season.
The pair recently picked up a win against Utah.
The doubles pairing of Haagensen and freshman Lyla Byers has five wins on the season.
West Virginia defeated Houston last season and is 2-0 all-time against the Cougars. WVU is 1-1 all-time against UCF. It lost last season in Morgantown, 5-2.
